Greenhithe Plant Swap Cafe

Sunday March 28 at Greenhithe School Hall

9:30 am to 10am: set up your table, morning tea and conversation.

10am swapping and sharing. There is no money involved. Its about kindness and generosity and mindfully taking what you are interested in.

10:30am head off or stay for the simplicity and sustainability presentation. Stephen Pattemore from A Rocha will share on the topic of caring for our local environment and planet.

As we all know, what makes a great neighbourhood is the people who connect and share aroha. Its Neighbours Day Aotearoa. This year’s theme is ‘The Great Plant Swap’. Bring vegetables, fruits, fruit trees, natives, flowers, seedlings, seeds, herbs, preserves, containers…

If you dont have plants or produce to swap, that’s ok! Just come and see what you might like to take home. Leftovers can be taken home or donated to the Spare Fare Here table.

This Neighbour’s Day event is a gift from Greenhithe Community Trust and Shore Grace Church to Greenhithe Community.  Plants, morning tea and a children’s programme are provided.

A Rocha Aotearoa NZ cares about the environment and has a Christian flavor.  https://www.arocha.org.nz/  Steve is a founding member and and is also involved with a local stream restoration project in Unsworth Heights. He did a similar presentation to our community a few years ago and it was well received.
