Greenhithe Garden Bird Survey

Bounded to the north by Lucas Creek and the forested Oruamo Hellyers Creek to the south, Greenhithe is a great place for birds. Greenhithe Community Trust is helping get pest control going across the area which in time will lead to even greater birdlife.
Between 30 June – 8 July the New Zealand Garden Bird Survey takes place.

Come along to the next Greenhithe Ecology Network meeting on 19 June at 7.30pm (we meet at 12 Greenhithe Rd) and learn more about birds, how to encourage them to your garden and how to do these bird surveys. The more people who do them, the better we’ll know how the birds are doing and if we’re succeeding in making Greenhithe a better place to live.
