Taihinui Historic Reserve is the area of bush you see from the Upper Harbour Bridge towards the city. While it has some lovely forest areas it also has problem plants. A small group of locals has begun removing Eleagnus, a smothering climber, with great success. It’s a big job but it’s surprising what a little each week can achieve.
If you would like to join us on a Thursday morning or early afternoon contact Richard at firstname.lastname@example.org . The group is informal and the “work” always involves a tea break.
