Have you noticed some weeds that are dying back in various locations around Greenhithe?
Greenhithe Community Trust is delighted to have received some more funds and Auckland Council permissions to get some more environmental restoration happening here. Removing weeds and restoring native forests is a huge task here and it is a bit like the proverbial eating of the elephant one mouthful at a time. But together we can do this!
SPECIAL THANKS to The Mazda Foundation for funds to prepare the Joe Clarkson Wetland in Wainoni Park for planting.
SPECIALS THANKS to Steadfast Foundation for funds to prepare the Kyle Road gully for planting.
SPECIAL THANKS to Trees That Count for supplying 3000 native shrubs this winter for Greenhithe.
We have arranged various planting days this winter and WE NEED YOU. See our events calendar, local dairy notice board and Greenhithe Community Face Book Group for the dates. And look out for our short eco stories on social media and Chameleon TV.
