This month Police have launched a new non-emergency number 105.

It’s available 24/7 to report non-emergencies. Remember 111 is still used for emergencies. If you require any further information about the non-emergency number, then please contact us on 105@police.govt.nz

Winter is almost upon us and with that we have experienced a number of burglaries within our wider boundaries so please keep your eyes peeled and report suspicious persons and or vehicles. Remember to remove valuables from sight and always lock your vehicles and homes when you leave for any amount of time. Some of the burglaries reported are theft of number plates and theft from vehicles parked on a driveway within your property boundary which is classed as a burglary.

Also, a reminder to watch vehicle speed as road and weather conditions will change with the seasons.

Keep safe.
