“Hi I’m Nicola and I’m engaged by the Greenhithe Community Trust as the Greenhithe Eco Facilitator thanks to Lotteries funding.  My role includes supporting you amazing volunteers who are restoring the native bush and streams in our backyards and reserves. Many of you have noticed various weedy and overgrown places in Greenhithe and we are in a good position to do something about it ourselves. Weed busting and planting together protects our environment and strengthens the community. It’s a great way to meet people and it’s fun too!

I am also arranging local workshops on all sorts of interesting environmental topics.

We also have a thriving Greenhithe Ecology Network. Join us on Facebook!  We meet regularly at the hub at 12 Greenhithe Road and hear all sorts of interesting speakers discussing interesting environmental topics.

If you are interested in being part of a restoration group, attending a workshop or are keen to start something in your own backyard, you can contact me at nicola@greenhithecommunitytrust.org.nz
