Nicola and Richard have ecology roles that include supporting the amazing volunteers who are restoring the native bush and streams in our backyards and reserves. Many of us have noticed various weedy and overgrown and infested places in Greenhithe and we are in a good position to do something about it ourselves. Weed busting and planting and pest control together protects our environment and strengthens the community. It’s a great way to meet people and it’s fun too!
We now have a thriving Greenhithe Ecology Network that meets every second month at the hub at 12 Greenhithe Road.
We are also arranging local workshops on all sorts of interesting environmental topics.
If you are interested in being part of a restoration group, attending a workshop or are keen to start something in your own backyard, you can contact them.
